Android Q Beta 3 released for Pixel series and other smartphones

Google I/O 2019 event has already started and in this event they were announced the Android Q Beta 3 roll out for its Pixel series and other list of devices. The first Android Q beta phase (beta 1) was released on March 2019 and they’ve pushed the second beta phase (Beta 2) update in April 2019.

Last year at Android P beta program only 8 devices from 7 partners were participated, but this year it has been doubled to 15 devices and 12 partners for Android Q Beta program (excluding Google brand). Google says this success rate has been achieved by the Project Treble (which was introduced in 2017) and mobile partners like Nokia, Huawei, Sony, Xiaomi, Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus, Asus, LG, Realme, Essential and TECNO.

The following handsets are eligible to receive the Android Q developer preview version. We’ve listed it for your reference.

Pixel device owners can easily enrol their device in to Android Q beta program by clicking this link. Existing beta users who already installed the beta 2 version will receive this beta 3 build as OTA. While other handset users want to manually download the Android Q beta 3 build from developer page and flash it on your device.

Now you may ask what’s new in Android Q or Android 10 OS? The Android Q brings new dark theme mode, edge-to-edge gesture navigation, 5G support, added support for Foldable devices, improved security & privacy, optimized digital wellbeing section, Focus mode to turn off apps that divert your focus, Smart reply for notifications, Live Captions, dynamic depth for photos and more features are there.

Note the beta build are unstable which means that are preloaded with bugs, if you face any issues you can list out the problem to feedback team. Google may release the final and stable version of Android Q in late summer, along with what the letter ‘Q’ stands for.
