February security patch now hitting Sony Xperia X, XZ, X Compact and X Performance

All major mobile brands are in busy schedule to roll out the January security patches for their devices. But Sony moves forward and pushing out February security update for their Xperia series smartphones. Some handsets are already this firmware and updated the security level to 1 February 2017. The new build number for xperia xz and x performance comes in 39.2.A.0.417. Other models xperia x and x compact will receive the update in 34.2.A.0.311 (build number). Not only security patch the update also includes performance optimizations and fixes known bugs.

As we know the software update will be rolled out in stages via OTA. The firmware update will take time to reach your device. You can also perform manual software update checking from Settings > About phone > software update options.
