LG V20 on Verizon receiving April security patch and bug fix update

Verizon wireless started to send out new software update for LG V20 handset users. Report says the firmware bundle carries April 2017 security patch and bug fixes for this device. However this software update weighs in large size 763.5MB. It will also update the software version of LG V20 to VS99514B. Still the device stays on android 7.0 version. For now Verizon didn’t posted the changelog about this update.

But surely we can say it will optimize the device performance and fixes the known bugs. As the update comes in big size so use stronger wifi or data connection to download the firmware file. Wait for the official OTA update prompt from verizon carrier. If you can’t be calm check for manual update from Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check for Update. Once the latest firmware is available for your handset then follow the steps that will be shown on your screen.
