New update for Nokia X6 brings hide notch option and June Patch

Last month HMD Global has unveiled Nokia X6 (2018) smartphone in China and it becomes the top selling mobile in this country. Everyone is waiting for its global launch, but this device is currently available in Chinese region only. This fast moving device has received a new software update which adds notch hide/show feature, June 2018 security patch and other optimizations.

We’ve also updated the screenshot which confirms the changelog and software version for this device. This firmware update arrives with new version 229D.B01 and it weighs in large size 1114 MB (1.1 GB). However this big software update will be available for download via OTA and requires WiFi connection for uninterrupted download.

Following are list of changes that are carried by this software update (translated from screenshot).

 - Installs the June 2018 android security patch

 - Newly added Notch hide or show option in settings menu

 - Optimizes the WLAN performance and touch control for game screen

 - Improves the smoothness of android 8.1 oreo os

 - Built-in apps will be updated to latest version

 - Also adds are portrait mode, background apps limitation, hide functionality for app, SMS Swipe option etc.   

 - System stability Enhancement

If you own (or imported) Nokia X6 Chinese unit means, check for the software updates from Settings > System > System update. The global launch is not far away, soon the manufacturer will announce availability of Nokia X6 (2018).
