Nokia 7 gets Android 8.1 update with Dual 4G VoLTE feature

At last, HMD Global has begun to roll out Android 8.1 Oreo update for Nokia 7 smartphone, which was launched in October 2017. However this major software upgrade is currently available for China exclusive units only. Soon the company will announce the expansion of this update for global variants. This android 8.1 oreo update brings new software version 224B.B01 and weighs in 698 MB. To download this update the users need to free up the storage up to 1.4 GB. • Enables Dual 4G VoLTE support on both Sim cards

• Installs May 2018 android security patch

• Adds Face Unlock, Gaming DND Mode, Battery level indicator and Camera Pro Mode

• Enabled automatic wallpaper adaption for System themes

• Improved power management, camera user interface and 3.5mm audio jack compatibility

These are the changes and tweaks that will be carried by this software bundle. The screenshot confirms they were pushing this update in batch-wise via OTA. Make sure you have connected your device to wifi or mobile data and wait for the automatic OTA prompt.
