Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ getting June security patch update

Samsung has rolling out new firmware update for Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus flagship smartphones. It brings June month android security patch and some optimizations for S8 series. Currently the update is available for S8 Plus and soon it will also hit Galaxy S8. The new software version for S8 Plus will be G955FXXU1AQF7. The size of this OTA update will be in 453.72 MB.

The latest update includes navigation bar enhancements, background color optimization and improved panorama image quality. After update the background color will set to default color, so don’t panic after installing the update on your device. It may also fix some bugs and optimize the performance of the device.

Because of its size we recommend the users to download the software update with WiFi network. Before proceeding to download charge your battery above 50 percent to avoid disconnection. If the automatic OTA is available in your region it will notify the user by prompt. You can also check it for manual update from Settings menu.
