Xiaomi Mi Max phablet goes official in India

Today Xiaomi has officially unveiled their flagship phablet smartphone Mi Max at a live streaming event. This phablet was already gone for sale in China on last month May 2016. In India this handset is now up for pre-registration at mi.com official site for its first sale. The company will conduct the sale for this phablet on July 6. From July 13 it will also release through other Indian online retailers like amazon, snapdeal, flipkart, paytm and Tata CLiQ.

Xiaomi has also revealed the storage models and selling price of this smartphone in India. It will available in two storage options – 3GB + 32GB and high-end 4GB + 128GB. The launch price 32GB and 128GB models are Rs. 14,999 and Rs. 19,999. The available colors are gold, grey and silver.

The mi max phablet has 6.44-inch larger display with 1080p resolution and 2.5D curved gorilla glass protection. It runs on android 6.0 marshmallow os with MI UI 7, later they will roll out the MI UI 8 update. The 32GB variant comes with 3GB RAM, 1.8 GHz hexa core processor and qualcomm snapdragon 650 chipset. But the high-end version 128GB equipped with 4GB RAM, qualcomm snapdragon 652 chipset and 1.8 GHz octa core processor.

The back and front camera options for both versions are 16MP and 5MP. It also has back-mounted fingerprint sensor and infrared sensor for universal remote control mode. The connectivity features are wifi, bluetooth 4.2, hybrid dual sim, GPS and more. It sports non-removable 4850 mAh battery with 14 hrs of video playback time.
